Fizz was diagnosed with bone tumors on her scapula and vertebrae on 3/9/2012.  We addressed her cancer with arteminisin.  She already had tumors in two spots, and we surmised probably other locations as well.  With all Fizz had been through in her life, I wasn't going to put her through chemo, amputation or other invasive procedures.

She was happy and her quality of life continued up until a few days before she was put to sleep.  The cancer had metastasized and when it started to affect her ability to eat, it was time to go.

Fizz is a doll! She is very quick and responsive. Learning is a snap for her!  Her mental prowess gives her countless opportunities for getting into mischief.  Fizz likes to wear hats of all kinds.

Fizz has been a hard luck dog throughout most of her life.  She broke her leg in a freak accident at the 2002 National Specialty playing on flat ground. In the spring of 2003 she developed a strange tumor that ended up being a walled off abscess.  In Nov. 2003, Fizz contracted tetanus.  An unfortunate complication of the tetanus has been masticatory myositis.  Click to read the Fizz journal.

Fizz has 6 points (1 major) towards her US championship.  She is spayed.
