Taz is owned and loved by Lynn Ungar and Kelsey Hartman of Castro Valley, CA.  Lynn's goal is for Taz to be her next obedience and Canine Freestyle companion.

The 2nd weekend in Oct. 2010, Lynn and a friend drove 10 hours up from California to Corvallis, Oregon to compete in a big canine musical freestyle (dog dancing) competition. Tazzie competed in both Advanced Musical Freestyle and Advanced Heelwork to Music, taking first place in both classes both days, over some very strong competition. Since he has also qualified in Advanced Musical Freestyle through video competition, this completed his Musical Freestyle championship. Anyway, to top off the weekend, Taz received awards for high technical merit and high artistic merit in Heelwork to Music, and the combined high technical merit and high artistic merit awards overall for the weekend.   Taz and Lynn can be seen dancing to "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" (this was one of their first routines 2 years ago); Calice in Oct. 2010; and Pinocchio in Oct. 2010.

As a puppy, Taz began a career as a Hero and Protector of Children. Lynn reports on Taz' protection of her daughter, "Mattea screeched when she saw a pretty good-sided spider coming toward her in the bathroom. Taz trotted in and neatly gobbled it up for her." Good boy Taz!  Now that he is a mature adult, he guards the doorway to her room.  Mattea can sleep safely at night with her fluffy Terv protector watching over her!
